K-5 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Special Education Teacher | Sterling Heights, Michigan

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license in Special Education (required)
• Experience with Early Childhood, Grades K-5, Grades 6-8, and/or Grades 9-12
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt instructional methods for students with differing needs
• Familiarity with current instructional technology and educational best practices

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Delivering engaging lessons across a variety of grade levels and subjects
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff
• Maintaining accurate records and regular progress reporting for students
• Partnering with families to support students' growth and development
• Modifying curriculum and instructional strategies to maximize learning
• Participating in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
