Special Education Teacher - Stevensville, Maryland

This contracted, full-time position allows you to make a meaningful impact by guiding middle and high school students within a collaborative, inclusive educational environment. You’ll partner with general education staff to support diverse learners, ensuring they reach milestones academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You’ll Bring:

• Active Maryland Special Education License (required)
• Prior school-based teaching experience preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to educational equity

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
• Deliver specialized instruction and academic interventions, both in co-taught classrooms and small-group/pull-out settings
• Support students primarily with Other Health Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments
• Engage in regular collaboration with general education teachers and related service providers
• Monitor, track, and document student progress in compliance with program standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help students build confidence and excel

Enjoy working closely with a small caseload (about 10–15 students at a time), embracing a push-in, pull-out, co-teaching service model that prioritizes inclusion and teamwork.
