Key Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Special Education teaching license is required
• Preferred background in a school-based setting
• Strong abilities in communication, collaboration, and classroom management
• Skilled in differentiating instruction to address the diverse needs of learners

Responsibilities:

• Craft and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) consistent with each student’s unique learning goals
• Provide targeted instruction in general education classrooms and small group settings, adapting approaches based on individual needs
• Partner closely with general education teachers, related service professionals, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Track and report student outcomes, ensuring timely documentation and active participation in IEP meetings
• Cultivate a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and empowered
