Special Education Teacher | Stillwater, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher specializing in EBD or ASD settings for the 2026-2027 academic year! This full-time position offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team and make a positive impact in a K-5 program designed for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD).

The assignment covers the entire school year, from August 31, 2026, to June 4, 2027. You'll support a caseload of eight students in a Setting 3 environment, with reliable assistance from three experienced paraprofessionals. The school day runs from 7:20am to 3:20pm, totaling 37.5 hours a week.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License with Tier 3 or 4 status.
• Endorsement in ASD or DCD is required; EBD or ASD preference for primary license.
• ABS licensure accepted, but EBD/ASD highly desired.
• Proven experience working as an EBD Setting 3 cluster teacher.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and structured learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized lessons to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies tailored to the needs of ASD/DCD students.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support.
• Track student progress and develop comprehensive IEPs.
• Create a classroom atmosphere that is inclusive, positive, and adaptable.
