You’ll work primarily with a small group (approximately 6-10 students) in a Setting 3 classroom focused on DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), supported by a collaborative educational team. This environment is ideal for someone experienced as a Setting 3 cluster teacher, especially with a background in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Proven experience working in a Setting 3 classroom, preferably at the elementary level
- Familiarity with supporting students with DCD, ASD, or EBD
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement tailored instruction for students with diverse cognitive and behavioral needs
- Develop and manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and data-driven educational adaptations
- Provide behavioral and academic interventions across all subject areas
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and related service providers
- Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners
