Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting young learners within a nurturing, self-contained classroom. This part-time position (0.5 FTE) offers flexibility in scheduling and the chance to make an impact alongside committed education professionals. Located in a supportive school community near Stillwater, MN, you’ll collaborate with two full-time paraeducators and occasionally serve as a float substitute across the ECSE program. Mondays are set aside for paperwork or meetings, ensuring you have dedicated time for planning and collaboration.

Choose between two schedule options to best fit your lifestyle:

• Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 12:15 PM
• Monday 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM, Wednesday 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM, and Tuesday 8:15 AM – 12:15 PM

This role may expand into a full-time assignment, providing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Possession of a valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education teaching license
• Experience working in self-contained or specialized special education settings preferred
• Ability to effectively work with paraeducators and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful in a fast-paced educational environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to inclusive and individualized learning approaches

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide differentiated instruction and support within a self-contained classroom
• Maintain documentation and complete required paperwork on designated days
• Collaborate with paraeducators and related service providers
• Support classrooms as a float substitute within the ECSE program as needed
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
