Special Education Teacher in Stillwater, MN

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a vibrant elementary cluster classroom in the Stillwater, MN area. You’ll work in a well-supported environment alongside a teacher and three paraprofessionals, providing targeted instruction and care to approximately 10 students in a center-based setting.

This full-time position spans from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, with scheduled hours from 7:20 am to 3:20 pm Monday through Friday. The role offers the chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic educational setting, while also making a direct, positive difference in the lives of students with developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education licensure with experience in school settings
• Prior experience in center-based DCD/ASD classrooms highly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other educators
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to individualized education and student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support in a cluster classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom community
• Partner with paraprofessional staff to maintain a safe, engaging learning environment
• Track student progress and adapt strategies as needed
