Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-1st grade students in an SDC classroom.
• Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Stay current with and uphold compliance to state and federal special education requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid California Special Education teaching credential.
• Prior experience with SDC settings strongly preferred.
• Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills for working with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Strong classroom management abilities to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
