A school is seeking four Special Education Teachers to support diverse student groups within various specialized programs. This contract role is located in Storrs Mansfield, CT, and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic educational setting focused on addressing individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with special needs across multiple grade levels.
• Deliver classroom management and behavioral support within the Killingly Therapeutic Academy Behavior Program for grades 5-8 and 9-12.
• Support resource classrooms for grades 2-4 with a focus on individualized education plans.
• Facilitate learning in the Academic Intensive Learning Program for grades 2-4.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff to develop and implement effective educational strategies.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with behavior programs and diverse special education populations.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to tailor instruction to meet varied student needs.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and to communicate progress to stakeholders.
