Current priority is for a High School Special Education Teacher (Grades 9-12), working with a mild to moderate student population in an inclusion/resource setting. There’s also an opportunity for a Middle School Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-8), supporting a self-contained autism classroom. Both positions are essential to the school community, offering an encouraging atmosphere and ample professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher Certification
- Experience working with students in Grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
- Background supporting diverse learners in inclusion, resource, or self-contained settings
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
- Commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies in response to student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the school and state regulations
- Communicate regularly with families to support student growth
