This position involves teaching two unique caseloads: one classroom serving 9-12 students with multiple disabilities (including autism, non-verbal, and physical impairments), and another with 10-15 students experiencing emotional disabilities—requiring social-emotional instruction, implementation of BIPs, and skilled crisis intervention. All instruction occurs within a collaborative, resource-rich middle or primary school setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid, current Special Education teaching license for Ohio.
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and significant physical impairments.
  • Proven background managing emotional disabilities, BIPs, and providing crisis support.
  • Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable and patient when navigating varying response times during school breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction for classrooms dedicated to students with multiple or emotional disabilities.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor individualized education plans and behavioral strategies.
