This position involves teaching two unique caseloads: one classroom serving 9-12 students with multiple disabilities (including autism, non-verbal, and physical impairments), and another with 10-15 students experiencing emotional disabilities—requiring social-emotional instruction, implementation of BIPs, and skilled crisis intervention. All instruction occurs within a collaborative, resource-rich middle or primary school setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid, current Special Education teaching license for Ohio.
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and significant physical impairments.
- Proven background managing emotional disabilities, BIPs, and providing crisis support.
- Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable and patient when navigating varying response times during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
