Special Education Teacher - Strongsville, OH

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid special education teaching credentials
• Experience working in special education environments, particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Multiple Disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning atmosphere
• Enthusiasm for early childhood education and supporting students’ individual growth

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to K-1 students in a self-contained Autism or MD classroom
• Collaborate with paraeducators, therapists, and related service providers
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and document student growth
• Communicate effectively with families about student progress and school activities
• Support students with daily routines, social skills, and life skills development
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
