Special Education Teacher - Stuart, Virginia

Two full-time contract positions are currently open for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students on-site. Position Details:

• Position 1: Serve K-7th grade students with a manageable caseload of 17.
• Position 2: Work with 4th-7th grade students, supporting a caseload of 16.
• Full-time hours ensure you have the time to collaborate, plan, and provide individualized instruction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred.
• Ability to create differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, staff, and support professionals.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure student success.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
