Special Education Teacher in Summerville, SC

A full-time onsite Special Education Teacher position is available in St. George, South Carolina, approximately 45 minutes from Charleston. This role supports elementary students in a resource setting for grades K-5, managing a caseload of about 23 students with the assistance of multiple teaching assistants.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized education programs (IEPs) to students with special needs
• Collaborating with teaching assistants and general education staff
• Monitoring and assessing student progress
• Adapting lessons and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with parents and staff

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary students in resource or inclusive settings
• Ability to manage a classroom with multiple support staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills
