Licensed Middle School Special Education Teacher in Sumter, SC

Qualifications:

• Valid and current teaching certification in Special Education
• Licensed to teach in designated state
• Experience working in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Strong skills in adapting curricula and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Initiative in fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students with a variety of learning differences
• Modify lesson plans and materials to accommodate individualized goals and learning styles
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress toward IEP objectives
• Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, school support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Use data and assessments to inform instruction and make targeted interventions
• Support positive student behavior and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and ongoing communication with stakeholders
