Special Education Teacher | Suncook, New Hampshire

Make a lasting impact supporting 5th and 6th grade students as a full-time Special Education Teacher on a contract basis in the Suncook area. This position starts as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year, offering a rewarding opportunity to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active certification as a Special Education Teacher or eligibility for certification in New Hampshire
• Previous experience in a resource classroom, self-contained classroom, or similar special education setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, teachers, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities in grades 5 and 6
• Design lessons and modify curriculum according to students’ IEP goals
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive support for each student
• Advocate for students’ educational needs and social/emotional well-being
