Special Education Teacher in Sunnyvale, CA

What we're seeking:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials recognized by the relevant state authorities
• Experience or training in ESN (Extensive Support Needs) classrooms strongly preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and creativity in adapting instructional strategies to diverse learning styles
• Commitment to an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking

Your key responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs in ESN classrooms
• Develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with staff and families
• Deliver personalized instruction, support, and behavioral strategies to help students reach their goals
• Manage classroom routines, ensuring safety, engagement, and respect for all learners
• Collaborate with team members—including other teachers, therapists, and administrators—to facilitate student success
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and regulatory compliance
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to celebrate achievements and address concerns
