Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-6 students as a Special Education Teacher in a dedicated RSP (Resource Specialist Program) setting. This position offers a collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. The focus will be on developing individualized learning plans, utilizing innovative strategies, and working alongside a passionate educational team to empower students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credential authorizing service in special education
  • Prior experience teaching K-6 students, preferably in a resource setting
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction in accordance with IEP goals
  • Manage a caseload of 13 students, ensuring effective case management and communication with families
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration
  • Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student growth and confidence
