In this year-round contract, you will work one-on-one with an elementary-aged student who is non-verbal and diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment. Your role will be instrumental in delivering adapted, project-based, and sensory-rich instruction aligned with California CTC Core standards—ensuring your day-to-day work is as purposeful as it is transformative. Collaborate daily with a team of AAC, SLP, TVI, BCBA, and OT experts, expanding your expertise surrounded by passionate peers.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credentials (California preferred or eligible).
- Experience in 1:1 settings or elementary special education.
- Familiarity with adapting curricula for sensory and visual impairment needs.
- Knowledge of Unique-Learning-Systems (ULS) is a significant advantage.
- Strong skills in collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Commitment to fostering social-emotional growth in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
