Key Qualifications and Experience:
- NJ Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Passion for working with diverse learners, including those with unique learning needs
- Experience teaching or supporting students in middle or high school grades
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging lesson plans and adapt strategies to varied learners
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, families, and related service providers
- Flexibility and creativity in navigating both academic and transitional instruction
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Foster a positive, structured, and adaptive classroom environment tailored to student success
- Collaborate with district partners and support services to provide holistic, wraparound care for every learner
- Track, assess, and report student progress in both academic and functional skill areas
