Key Qualifications and Experience:

• NJ Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
• Passion for working with diverse learners, including those with unique learning needs
• Experience teaching or supporting students in middle or high school grades
• Ability to create inclusive, engaging lesson plans and adapt strategies to varied learners
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, families, and related service providers
• Flexibility and creativity in navigating both academic and transitional instruction

Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Foster a positive, structured, and adaptive classroom environment tailored to student success
• Collaborate with district partners and support services to provide holistic, wraparound care for every learner
• Track, assess, and report student progress in both academic and functional skill areas
• Provide transition instruction as students prepare for post-secondary or workforce pathways
