Desired Experience & Skills:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching at the middle school level preferred
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for individual student needs

• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and implementation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in core academic and functional life skills for students with varying disabilities
• Create a welcoming, supportive classroom atmosphere that helps each student thrive
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to develop effective accommodations
• Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Track and report student progress through regular assessments and communication with stakeholders
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
