Special Education Teacher | Taunton, Massachusetts

Multiple contract positions are available, with a strong need for teachers experienced in sub separate classrooms—including those specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and social-emotional learning. You’ll thrive among a caring team that includes 2-3 paraprofessionals in each classroom, and receive valuable support from experienced supervisors, BCBAs, and Social Workers. Your expertise will be at the heart of fostering growth, independence, and confidence in students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility in Massachusetts)
• Experience with K-12 student populations; sub separate, ASD, or social-emotional settings is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and supervisory team
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to student IEPs
• Integrate evidence-based strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Partner with paraprofessionals, supervisors, BCBAs, and social workers for optimal student support
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Track and document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
