Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by guiding a diverse group of learners. The schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, totaling 32.5 hours per week during the academic year. Your primary focus will be a caseload of approximately ten high school students in grades 9–12. Caseloads may be adjusted as the school year progresses to best fit student needs and program goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (required); Special Education certification preferred
  • Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education or eligibility in Massachusetts
  • Experience supporting high school students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to suit individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborative approach and commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction and IEPs for your caseload
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate and thorough documentation
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to foster student success
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and productive classroom environment for all students
