Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 school year. The schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, totaling 32.5 hours per week during the academic year. Your primary focus will be a caseload of approximately ten high school students in grades 9–12. Caseloads may be adjusted as the school year progresses to best fit student needs and program goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (required); Special Education certification preferred
- Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education or eligibility in Massachusetts
- Experience supporting high school students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to suit individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative approach and commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instruction and IEPs for your caseload
- Track student progress and maintain accurate and thorough documentation
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to foster student success
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
- Foster a safe, engaging, and productive classroom environment for all students
