Special Education Teacher - Taylor, MI

You’ll work with a small group of 7-8 students, supported by three paraprofessionals and a comprehensive team that includes speech therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, an ASD coach, and more. The classroom features a newly adopted curriculum, ready for you to utilize in delivering effective instruction and specialized interventions.

What you bring:

• Valid elementary teaching certification
• Current ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) certification for K-1 grades
• Previous experience in a special education setting preferred
• Strong collaborative skills, able to work seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for making individualized learning accessible and meaningful

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing instruction using the newly provided curriculum, tailored to meet IEP goals

• Developing and updating IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
• Maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders regarding student development
