Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching licensure/certification
• Experience in high school or adaptive/specialized environments preferred
• Familiarity with Standard Course of Study or Extended Content Standards
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and adapting to diverse learning needs
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Empathy, patience, and problem-solving abilities in varied classroom environments

Responsibilities: High School Resource Role:

• Support approximately 30 students, primarily through inclusion services with select pull-out sessions
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs guided by the Standard Course of Study
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to promote academic and behavioral success
• Provide differentiated instruction and interventions to ensure student progress Adaptive Position at a Public Separate School:
• Guide a classroom of 8-10 students with significant cognitive disabilities following Extended Content Standards
• Work closely with a team, including teacher assistants, therapists, and nursing personnel, to address individual needs
• Create and adapt instructional strategies, fostering a supportive, accessible environment
• Address medical needs with support, ensuring all students’ wellbeing and engagement
