A Part-Time Online Special Education Mentor position is available to support Special Education teachers across Wyoming through virtual guidance and coaching.

Responsibilities include providing personalized one-on-one mentoring to Special Education teachers, assisting with Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, compliance, and documentation. The role requires sharing best practices in classroom management, accommodations, and evidence-based instructional strategies. Offering constructive feedback, encouragement, and professional coaching is central to this position, alongside helping teachers navigate state and district special education regulations. Maintaining consistent communication through virtual meetings, email, and other online tools ensures ongoing support and collaboration.

Qualifications sought include a current Special Education teaching license, preferably Wyoming-issued, and a minimum of three years of teaching experience in special education settings. Strong knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), IEP processes, and special education compliance is essential. Effective communication and coaching skills are required, as is proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and online collaboration tools. Prior experience in mentoring or instructional coaching is advantageous.
