A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a school year contract in Dalton, GA, focused on K-12 students across three school districts housed within a single campus. The role includes delivering instruction and support primarily through telehealth services, addressing the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and non-verbal learners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to special education students.
- Utilizing telehealth platforms effectively to deliver instruction and therapy.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student growth and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Providing direct support during standard school hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with ASD and non-verbal students.
- Familiarity with telehealth educational tools and methodologies.
- Ability to serve K-12 students in a dynamic, multi-district campus environment.
- Residency or proximity to Dalton, GA preferred.
