Virtual Special Education Teacher in NM

A contract opportunity is available for full-time special education teachers specializing in virtual instruction to support inclusion and resource classrooms. This role is designed to provide essential release time for district special education teachers, allowing them to focus on vital tasks such as paperwork, IEP meeting preparation, and coordination of student services.

Location: Malaga, NM (Virtual Setting)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional lessons and provide direct support to students in alignment with educational plans.
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by applying necessary accommodations and modifications.
• Collect and document data to monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain communication with classroom teachers to ensure continuity of instruction and services.
• Note: Case management duties are excluded from this position, as these remain the responsibility of district special education teachers.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification appropriate for telehealth or virtual education.
• Experience with special education instructional strategies and virtual teaching platforms.
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation, data collection, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with classroom staff and support teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing instructional responsibilities.
