Special Education Teacher Work From Home - New Mexico

This opportunity seeks full-time contract special education teachers to deliver virtual instruction supporting inclusion and resource classrooms. The role is designed to provide essential release time for district special education teachers to manage paperwork, prepare for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and coordinate student services.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering instructional plans provided by classroom teachers.
• Teaching lessons and offering direct support to students in a virtual setting.
• Implementing IEPs by applying required accommodations and modifications tailored to each student.
• Collecting data and maintaining documentation of student progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborating and maintaining communication with classroom teachers to ensure seamless instruction and service continuity.

These positions focus solely on instructional duties and student support; case management responsibilities remain with the district’s special education teachers.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification in Special Education.
• Experience with telehealth or virtual teaching environments.
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and special education accommodations.
• Proficiency in data collection and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with classroom educators.
