Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, providing essential support to pre-kindergarten students in a dynamic school environment near Tempe, AZ. Three dedicated professionals are needed to guide cross-categorical Pre-K classrooms, each serving morning and afternoon sessions with around 10–12 students per group. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping early learning experiences, with the benefit of instructional assistant support during each session.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Early childhood or cross-categorical special education experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and case management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with instructional assistants, fellow educators, and families.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instructional services to young learners in accordance with their IEPs.
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs while managing a total caseload of approximately 24 students.
  • Collaborate with classroom assistants to provide individualized student support.
  • Track, monitor, and report student progress.
  • Maintain open communication with families regarding student needs and achievements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development.
