Special Education Teacher - Tempe, AZ

Positions are available for both full-time and part-time contracts, with immediate start dates and assignments running through May 2027.

Openings include self-contained classrooms for behavior programs, cross-category elementary self-contained, autism programs, special needs preschool, and resource positions. Each setting offers supportive teams and a commitment to student progress.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Educator Certification for Arizona required
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FP Card) must be current
• Experience in behavioral programs and CPI certification (for behavior program role) is strongly preferred
• Early Childhood certification or relevant experience (for preschool setting) is desirable
• Experience supporting students with MID cognitive range or moderate intellectual disabilities a plus
• Clear, updated resume demonstrating relevant background and skills
• Ability to work onsite in Phoenix or Glendale locations

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Collect and analyze progress data to adapt instructional strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and professional development activities
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
