Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Educator Certification required; candidates must provide current certification prior to start
- Special Education teaching experience, especially with early elementary (K–2) students
- Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Background in resource or inclusive classroom environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Flexibility and creative problem-solving abilities
- Previous travel assignments in educational settings, a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group special education support in both push-in and pull-out models
- Develop and implement IEPs, tracking student progress and adapting instruction as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support teams to ensure all students’ needs are met
- Facilitate a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Engage with families to support learning and behavioral goals
- Maintain required documentation and participate in team meetings
As part of this contract assignment, you'll enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:40am–3:20pm, working 35 hours per week onsite in a supportive school community.
