What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience processing Medi-cal requests or working with Medicaid programs
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to monitor, track, and verify time-sensitive documentation from multiple staff members
- Comfortable meeting monthly to review procedures and ensure compliance with Medi-cal guidelines
- Proficient communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with SPED staff and district colleagues
- Bilingual Spanish fluency is highly desirable
- No special certifications or licenses are required
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and process incoming Medi-cal requests, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to Medicaid guidelines
- Monitor and verify that staff complete Medicaid random time surveys accurately and on schedule
- Serve as a point of contact for district staff, providing support to ensure proper submission of required documentation
- Facilitate monthly meetings with Medi-cal representatives to review procedural compliance and timekeeping standards
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in paperwork, helping guarantee essential funding for district services
