Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience in a similar school environment strongly preferred
• Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, parents, and administrators
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when addressing individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned to students’ IEPs across multiple grade levels or subject areas
• Develop lesson plans that encourage engagement, participation, and measurable progress
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities to fit various learning abilities and styles
• Track student performance and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Lead or participate in IEP meetings, working closely with parents and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported
