Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching high school students is preferred
• Strong background in ELA content and instructional strategies
• Ability to tailor lessons to diverse learning styles and needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to supporting IEP goals and progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging ELA instruction to high school special education students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for your caseload
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
• Track and report student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates student strengths
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to facilitate learning
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all compliance requirements
