Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (current and in good standing)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and behavioral interventions
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with faculty, families, and support staff
  • Flexibility, patience, and a student-centered approach to education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, tailored lesson plans to meet students’ unique educational needs
  • Develop, update, and manage IEPs in compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines
  • Monitor student progress, adapting instructional strategies as needed to promote success
  • Maintain open, constructive communication with parents, caregivers, and team members
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other required school functions
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates each student's abilities
