Special Education Teacher K3 Center-Based (Low Caseload, Severe Needs)

A supportive K–8 community school in the northern Denver suburbs is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a center-based classroom serving K–3 students with moderate to severe needs. This is a well-supported role with a very small caseload and strong paraprofessional assistance.

Position Overview

• Role: Special Education Teacher – Center-Based Classroom

• Grade Levels: K–3

• Caseload: 5 students

• Student Needs: Moderate to Severe

• Classroom Support: Two full-time dedicated paraprofessionals

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Dates: ASAP – May 29, 2026

• Setting: Onsite only

Pay: $42–$48/hour (DOE)

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License (required)

• Experience with center-based or moderate/severe classrooms preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
