Position assignments are available at both elementary and middle school levels for the 2026-2027 school year, including specialized settings supporting students with significant autism, emotional disabilities, and complex communication needs.

Preferred candidates bring direct experience with non-verbal students, strong behavior management skills, and a commitment to fostering independence through life skills and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device strategies. Choose from several full-time positions in welcoming schools, with supportive teams of paraprofessionals and access to collaborative resources.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado DOE Certification with Special Education endorsement
  • Demonstrated success working with students with significant autism, including non-verbal learners and those using AAC devices
  • Experience in de-escalating unsafe behaviors and implementing data-driven supports
  • Comfortable managing classroom staff and collaborating with related service providers
  • Eagerness to build life skills and social competency, especially for younger elementary students

Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to meet student needs
  • Foster a safe, supportive classroom community where all students can thrive
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialized therapists, and other educators to provide comprehensive support
  • Track student progress through data collection and regular reporting
  • Lead or contribute to structured learning settings, including self-contained and center-based classrooms
