This contract position is based in the North Denver area, working at a single school and providing hands-on educational support to students. This is an on-site role, allowing you to make a direct difference in your classroom and collaborate closely with fellow professionals and families.

As a vital part of the school’s multidisciplinary team, your work will empower students to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through October 2nd, with a steady 37.5-hour work week.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Active Colorado Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist (Ages 5–21) Endorsement
  • Experience in special education, ideally within affective needs programs
  • Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced academic environment
  • Commitment to prompt completion of district onboarding and credentialing documents
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead specialized instruction and intervention for elementary students with affective needs at Leroy Elementary
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, families, and support staff
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Track student progress and communicate outcomes to parents and educational teams
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with education standards and district policies
