Ideal Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience supporting students with significant autism, non-verbal communication (including AAC devices), or emotional/behavioral disabilities
- Skilled in implementing Structured Learning Services (SLS) and or significant support needs (SSN) programs
- Ability to de-escalate unsafe behaviors and foster independence through life skills instruction
- Strong communication and adult management skills
Typical Responsibilities:
- Manage or co-lead self-contained or center-based classrooms (K-12; mild/mod to severe needs)
- Develop and deliver Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary teams
- Guide students through daily routines and life skills activities
- Implement and refine behavior data systems
