Ideal Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education certification with Special Education endorsement
• Experience supporting students with significant autism, non-verbal communication (including AAC devices), or emotional/behavioral disabilities
• Skilled in implementing Structured Learning Services (SLS) and or significant support needs (SSN) programs
• Ability to de-escalate unsafe behaviors and foster independence through life skills instruction
• Strong communication and adult management skills

Typical Responsibilities:

• Manage or co-lead self-contained or center-based classrooms (K-12; mild/mod to severe needs)
• Develop and deliver Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary teams
• Guide students through daily routines and life skills activities
• Implement and refine behavior data systems
