Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a dynamic elementary resource setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, contract position runs from August 31st, 2026 through June 17th, 2027, with the potential for additional planning days. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting students in grades 1 through 4 within a resource classroom as well as through targeted push-in instruction. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification.
- Previous experience teaching special education to students in 1st through 4th grade.
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, managing caseloads, and collaborating with support staff.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working in both resource and inclusion classroom models.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15-20 students, focusing on grades 1-4.
- Deliver both small group and individualized instruction in alignment with students’ IEP goals.
- Collaborate closely with fellow case managers, paraprofessionals, and behavior analysts to ensure comprehensive support.
- Liaise with families and classroom teachers to report on student progress and provide guidance.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
- Adapt instruction based on student needs, data, and team input.
