Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Special Education (SPED) teaching license, or eligibility through emergency certification or pending credentials
• Openness to candidates in the Teachers of America or ITeach program pathways
• Experience or strong interest in teaching in self-contained special education settings
• Ability to create a nurturing, structured, and individualized learning environment
• Flexibility and collaboration skills, working alongside paraeducator support
• Dedication to student growth and positive behavioral support strategies

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom setting (either K-2nd Autism or PreK)
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while differentiating instruction to meet each student’s unique needs
• Collaborate with paraeducators, therapists, families, and school staff
• Use data to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies
