Special Education Teacher - Timmonsville, South Carolina

In this role, you will:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction to early childhood students with diverse needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with colleagues and families
• Foster an inclusive, stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and confidence
• Monitor progress, adjust teaching strategies, and document students’ growth throughout the school year
• Collaborate closely with general educators, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain accurate records and stay current on best practices in special education

Qualifications:

• Special Education Teacher certification in the state of South Carolina (required; no exceptions)
• Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
• Commitment to nurturing each child’s abilities and meeting individualized learning needs

Details:

• Contract position running ASAP through May 21, 2027
• Full-time schedule, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:15am – 2:45pm)
• Serve early childhood students at a welcoming center dedicated to growth and development
