This engaging resource role focuses on providing quality special education services in a diverse elementary setting. You’ll collaborate with two experienced teachers to deliver targeted instruction, ensuring each student receives personalized academic and behavioral support.

This role offers a balanced schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You’ll play an integral role in a push-in/pull-out resource model, working primarily with 1 or 2 select grade-level populations within the PK–4th age range. This setting fosters meaningful professional relationships and a collaborative approach to student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement that covers at least PreK–5th grade—please include your licensure details.
  • Experience or comfort working with students in PreK through 4th grade.
  • Strong background in resource room and/or inclusion settings utilizing push-in/pull-out models.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, passionate about individualized instruction and supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver push-in and pull-out special education services aligned with students’ IEPs.
  • Develop and adapt instructional materials to match students’ needs.
  • Collaborate with general educators, administrators, and families for consistent student support.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment to maximize student engagement and growth.

You’ll be compensated at a competitive hourly rate of $40–$50, commensurate with experience and educational background.
