The assignment also involves providing athletic training support, blending your educational skills with your expertise in promoting students' health and well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education (grades 9–12), or eligibility for certification
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with high school students with special needs
  • Background as an Athletic Trainer, or relevant experience supporting school athletics
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues
  • Ability to plan, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction
  • Organized, collaborative, and dedicated to student success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
  • Create engaging lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support extracurricular athletic events by providing athletic trainer services, including injury prevention and on-site care
  • Participate in staff meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development
