Special Education Teacher | Toledo, Ohio

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a publicly funded private school near Toledo, OH. This part-time position (2 days per week) runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a focus on guiding students in grades K-3 who have specific learning disabilities, as well as providing services to one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Special Education Teaching credential (appropriate for Ohio)
• Demonstrated experience working with students in K-3 settings
• Expertise supporting children with specific learning disabilities (SLD)
• Experience working with students affected by traumatic brain injuries preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to individual student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction as outlined in IEPs
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs for students on your caseload
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and related service providers
• Maintain open, positive communication with families regarding student progress
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
