Each position is based onsite at a single location, ensuring connection and consistency in your work with students and staff.

There are three available roles:

• Middle School Teacher for students with emotional disabilities
• Middle School Teacher for students with functional and life skills needs
• Elementary School Teacher for students with emotional disabilities

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Kansas Special Education Certification (KS SPED Cert) required
• Experience working with students with emotional disabilities and/or functional/life skills needs preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students in special education
• Create and maintain comprehensive lesson plans and progress reports aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
• Manage classroom behavior using evidence-based strategies that cultivate a positive and respectful learning community
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines
