A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school. This role involves managing a self-contained classroom designed to support students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with behavioral caseloads and demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to better serve the diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Manage a self-contained classroom for elementary-aged students with special education needs
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to support student progress
- Utilize effective behavioral management strategies to address behavioral challenges
- Monitor and record student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
- Background in managing behavioral caseloads preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, enhancing communication with a diverse community
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in person within the school environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.71 to $53.71. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
