As a full-time Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the educational journey for learners with diverse needs. You’ll have the opportunity to either manage a resource-style classroom with no more than 15–20 students or provide focused instruction to a smaller cohort of 8–10 students in a 1:1 or case-managed setting, matched to your expertise. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine Special Education (282) Teaching License (required)
  • Experience teaching in resource classrooms or providing 1:1 support preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive, positive learning spaces
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs

Position Highlights and Responsibilities:

  • Full-time hours, 35–40 per week
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

  • Conduct regular assessments and progress monitoring
