Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid California CTC credential in Special Education
  • Experience working with students in an elementary setting preferred
  • Familiarity with resource classroom teaching models
  • Understanding of best practices for supporting mild to moderate disabilities
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction for a caseload of approximately 28 students in a resource classroom
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
  • Monitor and document student progress; communicate regularly with families
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is encouraging, respectful, and conducive to learning
