Key Qualifications:
- Current license in Adapted Curriculum required
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum recommended
- Proven ability to manage and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and support staff
- Comfortable creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Prior middle and/or high school teaching experience desirable
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized instruction aligned with extended content standards
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored for students with high-level autism
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and administration to support each student’s IEP goals
- Maintain accurate student records, document progress, and ensure compliance with reporting standards
- Employ a variety of engagement techniques to encourage student participation and growth
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education
Position Benefits:
- Predictable Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00am–3:30pm (up to 40 hours per week)
